We support each other through friendship and support. This also includes our sister branches by attending their functions.

At CWA Morisset, our members believe we are a friendly branch, and we communicate well with each other. Camaraderie is very important to us. We enjoy bringing people together, whether it be through our fundraising, community events, or skill sharing. Community and friendship are at the heart of everything we do.

Throughout the year we proudly organise and support a range of activities, including:

Fundraising raffles at Bunnings 4 times a year where we also sell baked goods and handicraft,
Each year we usually hold a branch function in July,
As well as stalls, we sell raffle tickets for a prizes that coincides with special days eg;
- Mother’s Day
- Father’s Day,
- Christmas
- and sometimes Easter.

We also make and provide ‘Knitted Teddies’ for various local medical services, support our local hospital at Wyong with Emergency Toiletry Bags, and also support the local high school.

Our members enjoy sharing their knowledge of cooking, preserving, baking, handicrafts and creative skills, particularly with women who may not have had the opportunity to learn them before. We value good conversation as much as good cooking and there’s always time for a friendly chat over a cup of tea.

Fringed by the tranquil waters of Lake Macquarie to the east and the lush, greenery of the Watagan Mountains to the west, Morisset is the perfect gateway to the region’s hidden gems. With scenic bush trails and secluded paths to explore, or kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing and more at the lake, Morisset offers the perfect lifestyle change

The CWA Morisset Branch meets at the Seventh Day Adventist Hall,2 Gimberts Road, Morisset every 2nd Monday at 9.30am, except for June and July when it is every 3rd Monday.

Perhaps you may be thinking of joining the CWA.

There are a diverse range of activities for you to be involved in, offering something for everyone:

There is an annual study of International, Agriculture and Environmental topics which offer an opportunity to share your knowledge (and research with our ladies).
You may be keen to meet with like-minded members on cultural subjects, such as photography, story writing, painting, and arts and crafts.
Our cookery, handicrafts and recycling items have become the staple of our fundraising efforts.

Competitions are also held within the CWA and are carried out annually to enable you the opportunity to compete and learn, at both Branch and State levels. A number of these competitions are also open to non-members, an ideal opportunity for you family and non-family to join in as well.

Perhaps you are a fabulous organiser. Maybe you have retired yet still feel you have much more to give? Do you have skills to take on an office bearer role and represent our branch as a Delegate, to attend conferences, and to vote for motions to be presented to parliament, so we can better the community.

And last but not least, to have fun and make lifelong friends.

Upcoming Events

Our ladies will be packing emergency bags at the conclusion of their meeting on Tuesday 8th December 2025. We will also be holding a Christmas Stall and Raffle at Morisset Bunnings on Sunday 14th December 2025. Come along and pick up a bargain.

Congratulations to the students in Years 9, 10 and 11 who were recognized by CWA Morisset Branch by receiving academic and special awards at last years End of Year Celebration. Our investment in the future of our young people is an investment in our community as a whole.
