Lisarow Ourimbah Branch

Welcome to The Lisarow / Ourimbah Branch

The members of CWA of NSW Lisarow Ourimbah Branch are an active community of women who embellish all that CWA stands for. We are very diverse in our activities both in our local community, state wide and we even have a truly dedicated member who is on the international board of Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) and regularly travels to London for these meetings.

Our meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at the Christadelphian Bible Learning Centre, 26 Pacific Highway  Ourimbah (next door to the RSL Bowling Greens), starting at 9.30am. This is usually followed by an informal light lunch and a chance to share ideas and recipes, or just to have a friendly chat.

We are renowned for our great home cooks and our wonderful handicrafts. We are mums and grandmothers, young or not so young, we are employed in the workforce or in the home, we come from a wide range of backgrounds, we are every woman, just like you.

Lisarow Ourimbah members understand that to be a part of a community involves contributing to the residents and services available to the region. With this in mind, support is given to a wide range of extremely worthwhile causes and charities. These include educational scholarships, Drought and Disaster Relief funds, assistance to our country sister branches, Medical Research, local Hospitals, Breast Cancer support, local Girl Guides and Rural Fire Services to name a few.

But all of this is done with a large amount of fun and friendship with the knowledge that we are making a difference within our region. The Lisarow Ourimbah branch members are the driving force behind the Northumberland Groups involvement in the Central Coast Regional Show each year. From serving our famous Devonshire teas and toasties to bringing together the best home bakers the Central Coast has to offer in the Competition Bake Off, this is annual event that is high on our fundraising and community awareness calendar.

So why not give us a call, we are waiting to hear from you? No matter what your interests and talents are, we will have a fit for you to align with.

A very enjoyable time was spent at Henry Kendall Gardens in Wyoming recently where residents were treated to an amazing array of yummy-ness. All baking was done by our Cookery Officer, Marie Bradberry whose talents are well know within the village. Marie also baked and raffled a wonderful gingerbread house which went to a very pleased Grandmother. She is sure to be popular with the grandchildren.
